Flower Hill Press is a botanical stationery studio built around seasonal flowers and the slow hands on-process of pressing them.
Summer Garden, Flower Hill
Gathered at their peak, the flowers spend several weeks in the press before being arranged into original compositions and printed locally in small batches.
I began this garden in 2018 after chance placed the space in my lap; I found myself digging in the soil, haunting nurseries, starting seeds. I discovered how much I loved the simple, physical acts of gardening: sliding a shovel into the ground, turning over the earth, sinking my hands into soft soil.
Each season I found countless things to be delighted by, bees nesting overnight in flower tents, shimmering humming birds, the seasonal clock of plants emerging. Each arrival feeing like a small cosmic gift or an old friend returning.
I was caring for plants I would never eat, yet I felt deeply nourished by them—fed by their beauty.
That feeling is at the heart of everything I create. I hope it finds you, too.
